This Tumblr has gained way more followers than I’d ever expected to, so now I feel like I need to talk a little about it/me to justify it, or something. Thank you all for the follows, and I hope my incessant reblogs remain relevant to your interests :)

The Tumblr info’s really everything you ever need to know about me that’s any use to anyone IMO, but here’s the tl;dr version -

On the name Pangeexual :

Pan.geek.xual (pan-geek-shoo-uhl) -

1) lover of many and all geeky things

2) a play on “pansexual”. A bit of a stretch, I know, but it seemed clever at the time.

3) real name is Nat. I no longer have much reservation about using my real name online since my online life and real life have pretty much melded together a long time ago.

On interests and biases:

I’m into a vast multitude of things, but I get really compulsively obsessive about only a few things at any given time, and it tends to show in my reblogs. But generally these are the things I like.

1) Movies and TV. It’s hard to list everything I like (though I tend to indiscriminately love every movie Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s in) - favorites include Inception, the Narnia movies (Hollywood, not BBC), Harry Potter movies, Scott Pilgrim, Master and Commander, Maurice, The History Boys, Boondock Saints, Black Swan, Memento, Hot Fuzz, (500) Days of Summer, Supernatural, Fringe, Glee, White Collar, BBC Sherlock.

2) Beauteous and wonderful people, most of them actors from above mentioned shows/movies. JGL, Chris Evans, Gaspard Ulliel, Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, Cate Blanchett, Anna Torv, Benedict Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg, Paul Bettany, Matt Bomer, Rupert Graves.

3) Music. I’m an audiophile constantly seeking to expand my music library. I love indie, alternative, rock, pop, trip hop, strong drumbeats, guitar riffs, evocative lyrics, Cold War Kids, 30 Seconds To Mars, A Fine Frenzy, Lady Gaga, Florence + The Machine, Metric, Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, The National, The Music, Kasabian, Rufus Wainwright, The Decemberists, Portishead, Gorillaz, Shiina Ringo, RADWIMPS, Cocco, Core of Soul, soundtracks, fanmixes.

4) Comic books/cartoons/anime/manga. New fan of comic books, old (and I guess, recovering) fan of animanga. Favorite series include Y: The Last Man, The Umbrella Academy, Young Avengers, Runaways, Static Shock, TMNT, The Boondocks, Transformers, Gankutsuou, Wolf’s Rain, Last Exile, Soul Eater, Gundam (all series), Bakuman, Houshin Engi, Shiki.

5) Gaaaaaaaayyyyyyy. I love gay. I am an unabashed fag hag. I love love in general, but same sex love is so much more interesting and special to me.

Other:

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. In Cali you’re pretty much an invalid without an automobile, but the great thing about having to spend hours daily in a car is that you get to listen to a lot music in a closed, surround-sound environment. It’s wonderful being able to feel the bass through the stereo.

Ever since discovering Tumblr I’ve dedicated a little more of my life to humor. I think everyone should dedicate a little more of their lives to humor.

I draw stuff! Mostly to appease my own special needs. I only ever draw fanart. I seem humanly incapable of drawing anything else. I used to draw a whole lot more, and of better quality, but now there’s only time for artpad sketches and notebook doodles. I have a deviantart, but I’m using Tumblr more and more now as a depository for my increasingly lackluster sketches. You can find them under the “drawrrr” tag.

I also have a Livejournal which has slightly almost completely fallen into disuse - it just asks for a much longer attention span than I can maintain nowadays. Hopefully I can go back to updating it regularly.
